About the Founder & CEO

CORINNE MILIEN

Corinne Milien is a steadfast servant-leader with numerous experiences focusing on solutions to increase diversity and inclusion within the workforce and advance professional leadership opportunities for the underrepresented.

As founder of WRK, a talent sourcing firm specializing in connecting sports, media, and entertainment companies with a community of qualified talent, Corinne is driven to eliminate bias and barriers for those historically excluded from traditional hiring practices. In parallel to this role, Corinne is the co-founder of The Winning Edge Leadership Academy, a 501c3 organization empowering and elevating minority student-athletes and young professionals as the next generation of leaders in the sports, media and entertainment industry.

Corinne’s experience in sports started as a student assistant in the Bemidji State University athletic department then serving as a Graduate Assistant for the legendary Coach Pat Summit of The University of Tennessee before by working as an Events Supervisor for ESPN where she managed several of the company’s preeminently owned and operated athletic contests and events. She recently led the membership, partnership, and programming efforts for Pro Sports Assembly as Managing Director. In July 2022, Corinne was recognized by adidas, Impact Hub and Blavity.org as one of eight social entrepreneurs of color creating impact and delivering initiatives at the intersection of sport, equity and creativity for Black and Latinx communities.

Corinne is a veteran, having served honorably in the US Air Force before attending the United States Air Force Academy. She holds a B.A. (Bemidji State University) and M.A.degree in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee.

As the proud daughter of Haitian immigrants, Corinne stays true to her roots and maintains a relentless work ethic in all endeavors, consistently devoting her infectious energy towards “doing good” for others and ultimately paying it forward to level the playing field for all.
