Position Title: WRK Associate
Core Role: Executive & Special Projects Assistant
Location: Decatur, GA (Hybrid: In-Person + Remote)
Reports To: Founder & CEO, WRK


WRK is a leadership development company that helps people and organizations prepare for opportunity. Through coaching, recruiting, and curated experiences, WRK supports the next generation of diverse leaders in sports, entertainment, and social impact industries.

Our current clients include Eastside Golf, PGA of America, Decatur FC, Playa Society, and multiple leadership coaching clients. Past partners include Meta, Wilson Sporting Goods, Moolah Kicks, and the Pro Volleyball Federation.

WRK also owns and operates two venues in downtown Decatur:

  • Green Office, an indoor golf studio and clubhouse for connection, play, and leadership development

  • The Zo House, an intimate event and meeting space for creative, cultural, and professional gatherings

Position Summary

The WRK Associate role offers emerging professionals hands-on experience supporting an executive while exploring one or more focus areas aligned with their interests. All WRK Associates serve as Executive & Special Projects Assistants, supporting the day-to-day responsibilities of the CEO. From there, Associates can explore one of several department-specific focus tracks.

This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals who want real-world experience in leadership, sports, event operations, content creation, or business strategy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support CEO with calendar management, meeting prep, and internal communications

  • Assist with project organization, content management, and digital workflows

  • Participate in company meetings, client calls, and event support as needed

  • Coordinate logistics for in-person activations, workshops, and team gatherings

  • Help maintain WRK’s brand voice and professional presence online

Department-Specific Focus Areas

Associates can choose a focus area based on their interests and goals. Each track includes tailored projects and mentorship.

Operations & Events

  • Assist in event planning and logistics at Green Office and The Zo House

  • Coordinate vendors, setup, and real-time execution for client events

  • Maintain event checklists, inventories, and run-of-show documents

Business Development

  • Research prospective partners and speaking opportunities

  • Assist with proposal development and client presentations

  • Track KPIs, impact data, and success stories across client work

Content & Brand Strategy

  • Capture and edit content (photo, video, behind-the-scenes footage)

  • Draft and schedule social media posts

  • Support storytelling for WRK, Green Office, and executive thought leadership

People & Culture / Leadership Coaching

  • Shadow coaching sessions and workshops

  • Assist with scheduling, prep, and follow-up for coaching engagements

  • Organize learning materials, feedback surveys, and resources

Ideal Candidate Attributes

  • Undergraduate student or recent graduate with an interest in leadership, sports, entrepreneurship, or events

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and curious

  • Strong communicator and comfortable working independently

  • Eager to learn across multiple disciplines and client types

  • Tech-friendly and open to using platforms like Google Workspace, Airtable, Canva, and Instagram

  • Peerspace – for managing venue listings, bookings, and event inquiries for The Zo House and Green Office

Work Schedule

  • Hybrid: In-person work in Decatur + remote projects

  • Flexible schedule built around academic, athletic, or personal commitments

  • Evening/weekend availability may be needed for select events
